Rhetoric
rhetoric rhetoric
everywhere there is rhetoric
and it makes my mind want to explode (my mind often has a
mind of its own...)... I am just throwing these
sites up as I get to them (that is, get them out of my bookmarks and onto
this HTMLcoded not too fancy because how do graduate students find any
time to be fancy..anyone want to give me some $$$
to be fancy?) and then I will organize later. I am trying to avoid the
psychology of taxonomy as I do this, but it is always inevitable I suppose...
PS: help, send links
General Comprehensive Rhetoric Sites and Meta-indexes
Classics and Greek Rhetoric sites (or sites which seem to emphasize the classics)
- Silva Rhetoricae:
The Forest of Rhetoric.
This is an interesting hypertext encyclpedia of sorts which provides historical
and definitional information. The search tool isn't as useful as it needs
to be and the frame on the first page is a little disconcerting; however the
site has some great information on it and uses practical examples.
- Perseus Project Homepage: A
great site for the Classics on the web (and need I argue how important said
classics are to rhetoric?) Lots of terms defined and full texts available.
