Using Sources

Using sources is an important part of all writing. However, you must be able to effectively incorporate sources, paraphrase, quote, and cite sources. Here are some areas of source integration and citation to keep in mind.

Paraphrase
In many cases, paraphrase is a valuable way to incorporate sources into your own work. For information and an exercise on Paraphrase see Purdue's On-Line Writing Lab.
Quoting Sources
I have provided you with a fairly extensive information sheet on how I expect you to use sources and quotation in your papers. If this isn't sufficient, do head to the next provided link!
In-text Citation I have linked you again to Purdue's OWL for in-text citation guidelines for MLA (the format we use in this course).
